Day #14 and 15 Downstate towards Harsens

We decided to stay 2 days at Petoskey KOA even though we had to move sites. Did laundry, and set out to Harbor Springs. The grand homes there rival anywhere we've been. Well preserved, wrap around porches, acres of mowed hills overlooking marinas and Little Traverse Bay.

We returned to the KOA and changed sites, then headed to Petoskey, bought the perfunctory Tshirt and had lunch. We then drove on to Charlevoix, another pretty lakefront town and returned  to the coach for a nap. Sightseeing is tiring!

They were having a small Newmar rally at the campground so we watched over a dozen mostly large Newmars pull in. All were showing their best, one was even towing a Suburban.

This KOA was a pretty nice Kampground as KOAs go. Guys driving around on golf carts escorting you to your site etc. There were nicer places nearby, one of which was a condo type location where you could buy your lot and develop it as you wished. Pretty classy, one site was $225,000. I suppose if you were fulltiming and had one in Florida and one here you'd be all set!

Thursday morning we got up late, again, the sun comes up later here, and it was cloudy, Lyn's favorite kinda day. She arranged a site about 110 miles south, positioning us close enough to Harsens for tomorrow. Another wonderful site with plenty of shade and wide sites. The day was early, so I set up the satellite dish and got it tuned in in about 10 minutes. We planned to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather, but the mosquitoes were enjoying the weather too, so kicked back in the RV and took advantage of the satellite reception.
